Multinational geoscience technology services company CGG Services (US) Inc. is continuing 3-D seismic operations off the Guyana coast beyond its Eastern Offshore Maritime boundary, with occasional ingress into the Corentyne Block which sits in the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
The ingress area is situated approximately 18 nautical miles (33.3 kilometers) offshore Guyana and covers an area of 246.3 square nautical miles (844.8 square kilometers).

The Maritime Administration Department said the SV BCP Prospector will be towing 8000m (Length) by 1100m (Width) of streamer cables. As such, all mariners are required to maintain a wide berth of these vessels and navigate with caution when in the vicinity.

Products from new Suriname seismic campaign to be available from April 2022
CGG is part of a consortium that signed a multi-client agreement for seismic campaigns offshore Suriname last year. The agreement allowed the consortium to acquire, promote and license multi-client seismic programs, including new 3D acquisition and legacy data reprocessing, in the shallow water acreage offshore Suriname.
