The American Chamber of Commerce Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) will host the 24th Annual Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference and Exhibition to be held virtually from October 19 – 23, 2020.

Over the duration of the conference, a number of HSSE related topics will be discussed including environment and energy transition, cyber security while working from home, Covid-19 and security planning, disaster management resilience, mental health and wellness, among many others.

Feature Speaker Dr. Nippin Anand, Master Mariner, Founder, Novellus Solutions will deliver the Feature Address – Fooled by Randomness; a 30-minute talk which will focus on how senior leaders are fooled by randomness when it comes to managing safety.

Reyanna Sankar, Project and Marketing Assistant – AMCHAM T&T noted that the organisation has been a strong advocate of the promotion of HSSE best practices and has played a critical role in the development of both the environmental and occupational safety and health institutions in Trinidad and Tobago. “Our Conference and Exhibition will be the Caribbean’s first Virtual Health Safety Security and Environment Exhibition,” Sankar said in an invitation letter to local entities.

She noted that this year’s event will be hosted on HexaFair Virtual Event Cloud. “As we adapt to the new normal, AMCHAM T&T recognizes that the new format will be an exciting change to the Exhibition. The HexaFair leadership team brings together decades of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experience.”

Just last month the first Caribbean Virtual Oil and Gas Summit (CARIVS) brought together an extensive network of senior decision-makers and business leaders from the industry for a 3-day event that focused on emerging opportunities in the Caribbean region.
