Darren Etherington is set to join the Ramps Logistics team in the new oil producing country of Guyana, taking over as Country Manager.

“To create a strong Caribbean brand, we need the best minds and talents the world has to offer. We are excited to announce that Darren Etherington will be joining our Ramps Logistics Guyana team as our Country Manager,” the company said in a press release.

Ramps said Etherington’s 27 years of international experience comes from working in North America, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.

“He is well-versed and knowledgeable in the international oil and gas market,” the company pointed out. “Darren will use his expertise to develop the talents of the young and upcoming members of our team. During his tenure, he will mentor and train our team to develop leaders of tomorrow, seeking to improve our processes, strategies, and company focus.”

Ramps said with Etherington on board, it is confident in its ability to make an even greater contribution to the oil and gas industry.

Since 2015, the company has provided the full complement of cross-border logistics services to companies supporting their exploration and development drilling in the South American country.

“Our aim is to build a world-class organization that is distinctly Caribbean. In doing so, we strive to provide opportunities for people within the region,” Ramps said. “We aim to create a team so strong that we can now export our top tier supply chain services internationally.”

The company said the Guyana-Suriname basin has been dubbed a beacon of light for the flickering worldwide oil and gas market. The basin, Ramps said, has breathed new life into the companies investing and the citizens of these nations, providing abundant development and advancement opportunities.
