ExxonMobil Guyana said on Saturday the flash gas compressor has arrived offshore for reinstallation on the Liza Destiny Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel after undergoing repairs and upgrades in Germany.

“The repaired and upgraded flash gas compressor and silencers for the Liza Destiny FPSO have arrived offshore Guyana for reinstallation,” Public and Government Affairs Advisor, Janelle Persaud said in an operations update. “The necessary technical experts have also arrived in country after being appropriately tested and isolated in COVID-19 staging facilities. They will support experts in country with the reinstallation.”

The gas compressor had encountered difficulties on the Liza Destiny FPSO during oil production operations on January 27.

The equipment is expected to reinstalled soon.
