Halliburton seeking applicants for Guyana operations

US oilfield services and drilling technology company Halliburton is seeking to fill a number of positions to support its offshore operations in Guyana, the world’s newest oil producer.

The three positions for which applications are being sought are tech-prof cementing associate, cementing bulk material operator and logistics specialist associate.

According to a notice published online by the Centre for Local Business Development, the closing date for the submission of applications is February 14, 2020.

The positions will support the company’s well site operations, cement testing and bulk and chemical handling services as well as the international movement of goods.

Halliburton is one of the world’s premier oil and gas supply and services companies. It was founded in 1919 and offers energy services internationally, ranging from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation and well construction and completion.

The company has operations in some 70 countries around the world and has provided services to some of the largest oil and gas companies including ExxonMobil in Guyana and elsewhere.

With the continuation of exploration and production activities offshore Guyana, Halliburton along with a number of other companies, is expanding its operations in the South American country.
