ODITC, the collaborative venture of 3t EnerMech, Orinduik Development Incorporated, and Windsor Technologies, has opened its state-of-the-art assessment and training facilities to assist OMNI Helicopters with their local Search and Rescue (SAR) recruitment process.

The ODITC Centre of Excellence Georgetown provided support to the helicopter operator during a round of swimming assessments for potential recruits. Candidates were also tested on their ability to operate lifesaving equipment and successfully perform an escape from the Helicopter Underwater Escape Trainer (HUET).

Ten candidates were evaluated on their ability to fill two critical roles within the SAR team: the rescue swimmer and the winch person inside the helicopter. The assessment aimed to select individuals for eight full-time roles.
