SLB, previously known as Schlumberger, has recently issued a Request for Information (RFI) as it embarks on the search for firms capable of providing auditing services for its affiliate in Guyana. The oilfield services company has outlined the specific scope of work, which primarily involves auditing the financial statements of its Guyana operations.
According to the RFI, the accounting period for the auditing services will span from January 1 to December 31, commencing in 2024 and continuing onwards. SLB intends to engage the selected auditing firm for an initial term of three years.

Schlumberger says it is the world’s leading provider of technology for reservoir characterisation, drilling, production, and processing to the oil and gas industry and is a major service provider to Exxon providing technical support for its operations in the Stabroek Block which have to date resulted in proven reserves.
In 2017, Schlumberger decided to invest significantly and established a long-term footprint in Guyana through its US$75 million oil services facility base at Houston.
