Preparations were in high gear over the weekend at the Guyana Marriott Hotel for the staging of the South American country’s first official oil & gas summit and exhibition set to get underway on Wednesday.
Workers were busy setting up tents in the compound of the hotel where an exhibition will run during the three days of activities.
Several major companies in the oil & gas and related services sector are billed to participate in the exhibition. They include; ExxonMobil Guyana, TechnipFMC, Hess, SBM Offshore, Respol S.A, CGX Energy, Massy Group, GTT, Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry, among several others.
Shariq AbdulHai, Managing Director of Valiant Business Media – the lead company organizing the event – told OilNOW registration has been progressing rapidly and the turn out on Wednesday is expected to be high. “We have over 175 plus companies, and in total; delegates exceed the 500 mark. Preparations have been moving along well and we expect the event to be a huge success.”
The event will get started on Wednesday where Guyana’s President, David Granger, is slated to deliver the keynote address.
