TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Suriname B.V. has opened applications for 30 fully funded scholarships for Surinamese students completing secondary school in 2026.
The Student Scholarship Program will support selected students pursuing bachelors degrees at Nationaal Orgaan voor Accreditatie (NOVA) accredited institutions in Suriname. Applications close on August 12, 2026. BPP Energy Solutions N.V. is administering the program on behalf of TotalEnergies Exploration & Production Suriname (TEPSR).
The initiative is open to students from all 10 districts. It is intended to expand access to higher education and help young people complete their undergraduate studies with financial and personal support. Each year, 30 students are selected for the program.
The scholarship covers registration fees and tuition. Students will also receive allowances for books, a laptop, transportation, accommodation, food, and communication.
The program includes mentorship, study-skills training, and coaching. Students from outside Paramaribo can also receive assistance with accommodation.

The third scholarship cohort is being selected as TotalEnergies advances the US$10.5 billion GranMorgu development in Block 58 offshore Suriname. The project is expected to begin producing oil in 2028.
GranMorgu will be Suriname’s first offshore oil development. Its floating production, storage, and offloading vessel will have the capacity to produce 220,000 barrels per day. The project will develop the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields, which hold recoverable resources estimated at nearly 750 million barrels.
