Trinidad and Tobago-based L&S Surveying Services Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kepler Geo-Informatics N.V. to expand its presence in Suriname.
The agreement, announced on August 25, combines L&S’s technical surveying capabilities with Kepler’s local knowledge and market presence. The companies will pursue opportunities in Suriname’s energy, infrastructure, construction, and industrial sectors.
The partnership covers surveying, geospatial services, and subsurface mapping.
L&S and Kepler previously completed a ground penetrating radar project in Suriname. L&S said the assignment demonstrated their ability to mobilize resources and deliver services jointly.

“Our partnership with Kepler gives us local knowledge and relationships in Suriname while allowing us to contribute the experience, technology and specialist capabilities that L&S has developed over many years,” L&S Managing Director Sasha Addo said.
L&S has operated for more than 25 years. Its services include dimension control surveys, 3D laser scanning, unmanned aerial vehicle and LiDAR mapping, and ground penetrating radar.
The company has supported energy, infrastructure, construction, and development projects in Trinidad and Tobago and other regional markets.
“We have completed our first project together in Suriname, and we see this as the beginning of a much longer relationship,” Addo said.
Kepler is a Suriname-based geospatial company that provides surveying and related technical services in the country.
Suriname is gearing up for its first offshore oil development, GranMorgu. It is located in Block 58 about 150 kilometers off the country’s coast.
The project will develop the Sapakara and Krabdagu discoveries. TotalEnergies operates Block 58 with APA Corporation and Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. as partners.
First oil is targeted for 2028.
