ExxonMobil, its contractors and sub-contractors would be looking as a first preference, to have materials and services needed for exploration and production activities sourced from a supply base in Guyana since this is a more economical option.

Project Director at Exxon’s Centre for Local Business Development (CLBD) in Guyana, Patrick Henry, said building capacity among the business community in the South American country is one of the key functions of CLDB.

He was speaking at the time in the inland community of Linden, Region 10, where persons attending a CLDB outreach wanted to know how businesses would be able to benefit from opportunities in the country’s emerging oil and gas sector.
