The Local Content Summit kicks off today with Guyana President, Dr. Irfaan Ali set to deliver the feature address at the event.
With a thematic focus on “Creating Value, Driving Economic Expansion,” the Summit is designed to delve into critical topics such as the current Local Content Act and certification process, the role of local content in the oil and gas sector, and methods for bridging the capacity gap in the industry.

It is a collaboration between MBW Energy Support Services Inc. (MBWESSI) and Prestige Management Consultants (PMC) and the Local Content Secretariat through the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Together, they have curated a one-day session packed with insights and networking opportunities.
The Summit’s opening plenary will feature other prominent speakers including the Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat; Director of the Local Content Secretariat, Dr. Martin Pertab; Minister within the Ministry of Public Works Deodat Indar; Abbigale Loncke-Watson, Chief Executive Officer of MBW Energy Support Services Inc; and Anita Ramprasad of Prestige Management Consultants.
Additional speakers represent various sectors, including ExxonMobil, Ocean Air Logistics, SBM Offshore, and Noble Corporation.
