The Whiptail development is operated by ExxonMobil alongside partners Hess and CNOOC. Scheduled to begin production in 2027, the project is expected to deliver 250,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, lifting Guyana’s total offshore output capacity beyond one million barrels daily.

SBM Offshore is constructing the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Whiptail, while TechnipFMC has been contracted to supply the subsea production systems.

Bourbon’s fleet in Guyana includes the Bourbon Liberty, Bourbon Diamond, Bourbon Sapphire, Bourbon Calm and Bourbon Rhesos.
