Errea Wittu FPSO arrives in Singapore after successful hull sailaway from China

MODEC announced the successful arrival of the Errea Wittu floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) in Singapore on June 28, 2025. The vessel’s hull sailaway followed the completion of construction and commissioning works in China.

In a July 14 LinkedIn post, MODEC said the sailaway ceremony in China marked the completion of hull works, including partial module lifting and integration.

MODEC also reported “over eight million safe work hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI)”. The company credited its “ONE TEAM approach” for the project’s success so far. 

In Singapore, the vessel was received by the local team and project partner. The next project phase will focus on module integration and commissioning activities. Deployment to offshore Guyana will follow the completion of works in Singapore.

MODEC reaffirmed its focus on “safety, quality, and collaboration” as the project advances.

The Errea Wittu FPSO is being developed for ExxonMobil’s Uaru development in the Stabroek Block. The Uaru development, the fifth project approved offshore Guyana, is valued at US$12.7 billion and targets more than 800 million barrels of oil. The project will include up to 10 drill centers and 44 wells, with an initial production goal of 250,000 barrels per day by 2026.
