ExxonMobil Guyana is sponsoring 75 women to attend the 2025 Local Content Summit this April 8. The sponsorship is in alignment with its commitment to fostering partnerships for Guyana’s development, according to a company statement issued on March 28.
The women have completed empowerment and capacity-building training programs, reinforcing the company’s dedication to supporting local content development.
Exxon said the initiative would enhance the attendees’ understanding of Guyana’s economic landscape and help them to identify and seize business opportunities. Participants will benefit from a rich agenda that includes engaging plenary sessions, expert panel discussions, and interactive Q&A segments. They will also have a chance to network with key figures, including government ministers, the Local Content Secretariat, private sector leaders, local and international entrepreneurs, and banking professionals.
The Summit will be hosted at the Marriott Hotel in Kingston, Georgetown. It is a collaborative effort involving MBW, Prestige Management Consultants, and the Ministry of Natural Resources through the Local Content Secretariat.
