Local suppliers in Guyana will have an opportunity to connect with two of ExxonMobil’s biggest drilling contractors – Noble and Stena – at a Business Forum set to take place on Wednesday.
The event will be hosted at Duke Lodge from 9:00 am and provides an avenue for suppliers to learn more about opportunities in Guyana’s oil and gas sector.
Stena currently has a 6-rig drill fleet conducting exploration, appraisal, and development drilling activities for Exxon offshore Guyana. The Stena Drillmax is currently engaged in development drilling at Exxon’s Yellowtail well site.
The Noble Bob Douglas, Tom Madden, Don Taylor and Sam Croft currently form part of the fleet also engaged in operations offshore. The bulk of Noble’s revenues from Guyana come from Exxon’s Stabroek Block operations, and sporadic exploration elsewhere in the basin. In 2022, Noble generated US$469 million from its Guyana operations, accounting for a third of its total revenues for the year, which amounted to US$1.4 billion.
