SBM Offshore and U.S. oil major ExxonMobil are in discussions regarding the extension of the lease and operate durations for the floating production storage and offloading vessels (FPSOs) targeting oil production at the Stabroek block offshore the South American country of Guyana.

The Dutch floater specialist has already built and is operating one FPSO in Guyana – the Liza Destiny – and is in the process of constructing two more vessels; the Liza Unity and the Prosperity FPSOs for operations at the Stabroek block.

SBM Offshore also reported a contractual lease extension for FPSO Espirito Santo in Brazil.

The company will soon present an updated pro-forma backlog, taking into account the most recent developments, along with its Full Year 2020 Earnings.
