ExxonMobil is moving ahead with the search for more hydrocarbons offshore Guyana where it has already found approximately 10 billion barrels of oil equivalent resources since making its first world-class discovery in 2015 at the Liza field.

The Noble Don Taylor rig will be engaged in drilling activities at the Tripletail-2 well site situated approximately 113 nautical miles (209.276 Kilometers) from shore, covering an area of 0.29 square nautical miles (1 square kilometre).

Meanwhile, the Stena DrillMAX will undertake exploration operations at Fangtooth-1, located 9 miles northwest of Liza-1, approximately 103.1 nautical miles (191.0 kilometers) offshore. The drill site covers an area of 0.29 square nautical miles (1 square kilometre).

Greater potential for hydrocarbons is being seen in multiple deeper zones offshore Guyana at the giant Stabroek Block.

OilNOW understands that Fangtooth will be a dedicated test of the deep potential at the prospect.
