ExxonMobil affiliate, Esso Exploration and Production Limited Guyana (EEPGL) has signed the subsea support vessel – the Maersk Nomad – to support its field development activities in Guyana’s offshore Stabroek Block.
According to Maersk, the contract has a minimum one-year period.
The first charter is expected to start in mid-November 2022.
The Maersk Nomad will be operating with two remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) onboard, providing general and subsea support scopes for Exxon’s six ultra-deepwater drill ships currently operating in the Stabroek Block.

All are expected to continue operating for the foreseeable future.

Exxon is pursuing an aggressive drill campaign in the Stabroek Block as it seeks to push Guyana’s discovered recoverable resource count past 11 billion barrels.
Just recently two new discoveries were made in the Stabroek Block – a total of nine for the year.
