SBM Offshore Guyana is set to host a Vendor Forum today at the International Energy Conference which is being hosted at the Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown.
The forum, scheduled for 9:00 am, presents an opportunity for stakeholders and local businesses to learn more about the company’s procurement process, requirements, and compliance policies.
SBM Offshore is the builder of Guyana’s floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels operating in the offshore Stabroek Block.
Along with the Vendor Forum, the final day of the conference will also feature a youth engagement forum, which will see young professionals and government agencies discussing opportunities and challenges that affect Guyana’s youth population in the oil and gas sector.
The IEC featured over 200 exhibitors from the global oil industry with the attendance of over 800 delegates and sponsors. It was a platform for companies to tackle concerns affecting the energy sector, as well as challenges of climate change mitigation, and maximising the benefits of local content development in Guyana and the region.
