Norwegian offshore support vessel firm DOF announced on Sept. 18 that it has won three new service contracts with the Brazilian oil giant, Petrobras. The contracts were awarded to DOF through a competitive bidding process and encompass services within DOF’s core areas of expertise, namely Survey and Inspection.
The new contracts mark a continuation of the services provided by DOF under the PIDF123 contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020, which have been in operation since December of that year.

According to DOF, a minimum of three vessels will be deployed to carry out flexible pipeline, risers, and subsea equipment inspections in the Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santos Basin. In total, more than 3,200 inspections are expected to be executed as part of these contracts.
While DOF did not specify the exact vessels that would be involved in these projects, the contracts are valued at over US$260 million and are scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024. They are anticipated to be completed within a two-year timeframe.
