Atlas Professionals has secured a Crew Management contract from Noble Corporation for an offshore drilling campaign in Suriname, the company said on April 17.
The contract supports operations for the Noble Developer and extends a 15-year working relationship between the two companies. Atlas will supply junior and expatriate crew and provide logistics, training, and immigration support through its Paramaribo office.
“It’s great to be able to support Noble Corporation with this project in Suriname,” said Lourdes Landa, Atlas’ Global Network Development Director. “Our long history of working together means we understand exactly what Noble needs in emerging markets like Suriname.”

The company will also mobilize Surinamese crew and support local workforce development via its ‘Greenhand Offshore’ Program.
“Atlas has invested significantly in establishing legal entities and offices in Guyana, Colombia, Mexico, Suriname, and Trinidad,” the company’s General Manager, Chris Boardman, said. “We thrive in environments that others may find too difficult or too complex – that’s where we add the most value.”
Noble has signed a new contract for its Noble Regina Allen jackup rig with an unnamed operator offshore Suriname. The agreement covers one well, expected to last 65 days, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The contract is valued at US$17.7 million, including mobilization and demobilization fees. The Noble Regina Allen was sidelined in 2022 due to a mechanical failure and was later repaired in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Suriname’s offshore activity is expected to grow, with 10 wells forecasted for 2025-2026, according to Rystad Energy. Staatsolie anticipates five wells to be drilled in 2025 by TotalEnergies, PETRONAS, Shell, Chevron, and QatarEnergy.
