DOF Group ASA has been awarded four long-term charter and service contracts by Petrobras in Brazil, following a competitive tender process, the company announced this week.

The Skandi Iguaçu, one of the largest anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels ever built in Brazil, has secured a four-year contract set to begin in February 2026 upon completion of its current engagement.

Three additional vessels—Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty, and Skandi Urca—have each been awarded four-year contracts scheduled to commence in January 2026, following their current charters’ conclusion.

These vessels, with bollard pulls ranging from 260 to 288 metric tonnes, will also deploy work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) capable of operating at depths of up to 3,000 meters.

The total combined value of the contracts is approximately US$480 million.

Mons S. Aase, Chief Executive Officer of DOF Group ASA, stated: “We are happy to announce these contract awards which build backlog into 2030 at solid terms. The contract awards demonstrate our operational pedigree and reinforce our position as a leading player within the high-end AHTS vessel segment in Brazil.”
