ExxonMobil Guyana’s Deedra Moe takes up new position in Houston

ExxonMobil Guyana Senior Director, Public and Government Affairs, Deedra Moe, will be departing the country soon to take up a new position in Houston in her home country of the Unites States. She will be succeeded by Karen Matusic, Strategic Communication Manager, who has been working closely with Moe in the company’s Public and Government Affairs unit over the last year.

Moe took up the position in Guyana on July 1, 2018 and has played a key role in further improving media relations and public engagement with the company’s activities in the South American country.

She has been a central figure in the Access ExxonMobil television programme which focuses on the company’s exploration and production operations and the partnerships it is building with local businesses and stakeholders.

Moe will be moving on to take up the position of LNG Value Chain Manager, Public and Government Affairs, Operations, Exxon Mobil Corporation in Houston.

Matusic has served in several positions at ExxonMobil since 2010 including those in Public and Government Affairs, before coming to Guyana. She also has a background in journalism, having worked for Reuters providing coverage in several locations around the world.
