Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources in collaboration with the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago and ExxonMobil will hold a public lecture on Sunday December 10, 2017 on oil spill readiness.
The lecture is to be held in the Queen’s College Auditorium in Georgetown. Making presentations will be Thomas G. Tomblin, Oil Spill Response Advisor and Roy Barrett, President and Senior Consultant – The Response. Minister of Natural Resources Raphael Trotman is expected to give brief remarks at the event.
This is another in the series of capacity building lectures by the Ministry, which is coordinating some of the training and preparatory activities in relation to oil spill response.
Bids have been invited for the supply of oil containment booms and a number of training sessions with Government officers and other stakeholders have been held.
