The Guyana Oil and Gas Virtual Summit is set to open today and will run until December 3. The event is expected to place special emphasis on local content development and the increasing participation of women in Guyana’s oil and gas sector.
Organised by CWC/Global Future Energy Limited (GFEn), in partnership with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) and supported by the Government of Guyana, the summit will see the participation of both local and international companies, as well as government officials and state agencies.
“We are delighted to be pulling everything together for our first online Guyana Oil and Gas Summit,” said Tim Clark, CWC Group Ltd. “The team is working all hours to get everything perfect.”
He said the organisers are looking forward to hearing from Guyana’s President, Dr. Irfaan Ali who will be delivering a message at the opening of the event. Natural Resources Minister, Vickram Bharrat will also deliver remarks as well as his Surinamese counterpart, David Abiamofo.
Along with the discussion sessions, the summit will also feature practical breakout rooms where participants will be able to speak with various experts and engage in networking opportunities.
