For Senior Accountant Kavita Khan, TechnipFMC first caught her attention through a presentation. “One of the managers… was going around to different companies that were offering services to TechnipFMC… I was very impressed… I would like to be a part of it someday.”

She applied in 2020 and was hired the following year. “They hired me as the accounting assistant… four years later, I’m here as the senior accountant.”

Khan sees her role as critical. “We do need people in support roles… My job is very critical to this company… Without me, a lot of things wouldn’t get done on this site.”

She has witnessed significant change. “Where we are now is far from where we started… We’ve hired many more people… and put up a new office complex.”

Her main challenge was working with multiple nationalities. She adapted by learning how to communicate clearly and professionally. “That was definitely a challenge and a change for me.”

Khan stresses that oil and gas careers are not limited to technical roles. “This sector is not just about working offshore or fixing equipment… It needs other persons to perform support functions.”

She urges others to apply for any role that fits their skills. “Getting a job in this sector is like winning the lottery… If you don’t apply, you don’t have a chance.”

Quoting a company leader, she added, “Here at TechnipFMC, we just don’t offer you a job. We offer you a career.”
