Noble Drilling, one of ExxonMobil’s prime contractors, has extended the deadline for firms to submit technical information for the provision of offshore catering, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial and pest control services.
The deadline is now July 4.
Noble said the scope of supply includes but is not limited to qualified personnel; personnel training; onshore and offshore management; supply of all provisions to complete the work; Health and Safety Executive (HSE) management and sub-contracted pest control services.
The Noble Bob Douglas, Tom Madden, Don Taylor and Sam Croft currently form part of the ExxonMobil fleet conducting exploration, appraisal and development drilling operations offshore. This represents four of the six drillships operating offshore Guyana on contract with Exxon.
Very soon, oil and gas companies will have a large pool of qualified caterers as Guyana commenced work on establishing a local catering consortium last year.
Both vessels – the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity – are operating in the prolific Stabroek Block. The Prosperity will come online by the end of 2023. The consortium will benefit from waivers on duties and taxes for machinery and equipment needed to operationalise their work.
