Norwegian company, Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS), has announced a contract award from Petrobras for a fully pre-funded multi-client survey offshore Brazil. The contract, valued at approximately US$11.7 million, is significant for EMGS as it is the first data acquisition project in Brazilian waters in almost a decade, the company said in a Jan. 31 announcement.

The survey is scheduled to commence in late March or early April 2024.

Bjørn Petter Lindhom, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EMGS, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s return to Brazil after a prolonged absence from the region.
