Marine seismic data company PGS has been awarded a contract for a large 3D project offshore the South Atlantic margin by a multiclient company.
The contract falls within PGS’ criteria for announcing contract awards of over US$10 million, but its exact value remains undisclosed.
Commenting on the award, Rune Olav Pedersen, President & Chief Executive Officer of PGS, expressed satisfaction, stating, “Seismic activity offshore South Atlantic margin is increasing as a result of recent exploration success, and we are very pleased with this letter of award, extending visibility for one of our Ramform Titan-class vessels well into 2025.”
The project entails the mobilization of a Ramform Titan-class vessel in June with a forecast acquisition duration spanning up to 300 days.
