ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) will continue development drilling at the Yellowtail Project’s YT_2P01 drill center in the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana, according to a notice released March 7 by the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD).

The operations are taking place in Guyana’s Exclusive Economic Zone using the MODU Noble Sam Croft.

The notice states that the vessel “will be engaged in drilling activities, which will conclude on March 31, 2026.”

The drill center is located approximately 94.14 nautical miles (174.35 kilometers) off Guyana’s coast and covers an area of 0.29 square nautical miles (1 square kilometer).

Several support vessels will assist the drilling campaign, including Skandi Constructor, Paradise Island, Russell Bouziga, Shepherd Tide, Horn Island, Wine Island, Russell Adams, Gerard Tide, Aldemir Souza Tide, C-Confidence, C-Installer, Sanibel Island, Skandi Nomad, Seacor Congo, Emily Day McCall, Michael Crombie McCall, Clarence Triche, Guyana Hero, Ted Smith, Seacor Amazon and Bourbon Calm.

The Maritime Administration Department said vessels involved in the operation “would display the international signal for vessels engaged in such activities.”

Mariners were also warned to avoid the area during the drilling period.

“All mariners are required to stay clear of these vessels and navigate with extreme caution when in the vicinity.”

Yellowtail is ExxonMobil’s fourth oil development offshore Guyana. The project came online in August 2025 and reached initial production capacity in early November, producing an average of 258,000 barrels per day, according to recently released government data.

The project operates from the ONE GUYANA floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and complements the Liza Phase One, Liza Phase Two, and Payara developments. Combined, these projects provide Guyana with more than 900,000 barrels per day of installed production capacity.
