Payment for 6th oil export pushes revenue past US$344 million

The Guyana government announced on Friday that the payment for the country’s sixth oil lift was deposited into the Natural Resources Fund Account, pushing the total revenues received so far to over US$344 million.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Natural Resources, on April 13, 2021, 998,645 barrels of oil were lifted from Liza Destiny with a value of US$ 62,617,616.23 with a grand total to date of 6,008,442 barrels of oil which earned US$309,160,278.23.

“Inclusive of royalties the total in the Natural Resources Fund Account now stands at US$344.155 million,” according to the statement.

The ministry said authorities remain committed to providing updates on oil lifts and sales as may be necessary to ensure all stakeholders and members of the public are informed.
