Dutch Manufacturer, Strohm B.V has won a contract to supply ExxonMobil Guyana with 24 jumpers for its Uaru Project in the Stabroek Block. This marks the second contract for the Dutch firm from Guyana, with the first being awarded for the Yellowtail Project.
The North Holland manufacturer said this latest award, which is subject to government approval of the project and a final investment decision, marks the largest commercial agreement in its 15-year history.

In its statement, Strohm said the jumpers will be installed in water depths more than 1,700m operating in the region of 10,000psi.
Strohm’s in-country specialist field service technicians will mobilise to Guyana as the jumper termination campaigns are called off over the duration of the deployment programme, spanning pre and post-first oil.

Gavin Leiper, Strohm’s Vice President of Africa & Americas, said the contract is a testament to the hard work and collaborative relationship developed by both companies and partners during the 12 months since securing the Yellowtail project.
ExxonMobil’s proposed Uaru development project is estimated to cost US$12.683 billion (GY$ 2.638 trillion). To ensure the project is on stream for start-up in 2026/2027, Exxon also signed a contract with MODEC in November 2022 for the FPSO. The vessel will be designed to produce about 250,000 barrels of oil per day.
