Demerara Integrated Logistics Inc. has delivered a second vessel to support ExxonMobil’s operations offshore Guyana – this time, for the Gas-to-Energy (GtE) project.

The latest vessel to be delivered – Knockout P – a DP2 platform supply vessel (PSV) will be transporting 400 tons of pipe per trip over the next few weeks, as GtE enters its initial construction phase.

As explained by General Manager, Jordan Pollonais in an interview with OilNOW on May 9, the company has been supporting Guyana’s oil and gas sector for years prior to setting up its local Guyanese entity back in 2021.

“We are an offshore service provider working with other companies as well like Repsol Guyana, CGX Energy, Bourbon Guyana, Schlumberger, and Halliburton, just to name a few,” she explained.

Just a month ago, the company delivered the Homerun P vessel to Exxon to commence a three-year firm contract for support to Rope Access Technician (RAT) operations. The Homerun P is currently providing standby support for the Prosperity floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and will continue to do so for the next four FPSOs to be delivered to Stabroek Block.

“Our vessel, the ‘Miss Megan’, supported PGS surveys in 2017, which led to the now immense operations in Liza fields. The vision to strengthen and deepen our roots in Guyana began in 2019, which materialized over the next two years,” Pollonais said.

The company has a third vessel to be delivered in early July to support Dutch subsea construction company Van Oord, she added. This project will see the use of both the Knockout P and Atlantic Liberty for their Gas to Shore Project.

Van Oord snagged a contract alongside Subsea 7 to construct the offshore pipeline and accompanying infrastructure for the Gas to Shore Project. The scope covers project management, engineering, and the installation of approximately 190 kilometres of pipeline in water depths of up to 1,450 metres. Subsea 7 and Van Oord are also responsible for the associated shallow water portion and “onshore approach” where the pipeline will land on the west of the Demerara River.
