Guyanese companies in strict compliance with the country’s local content law are invited to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for ground transportation services for Saipem Guyana, one of ExxonMobil’s leading Stabroek Block contractors.

Saipem in a public EOI request stated that it remains committed to maximising local resources and building local capacity, as it ramps up operations offshore Guyana.

With the Uaru development plan (FDP) finalised, Saipem was given the greenlight by Exxon to commence the final phase of the subsea work for the Stabroek Block project.

The awarded scope of work includes the design, fabrication and installation of subsea structures, risers, flowlines, and umbilicals for a large subsea production facility. Saipem will be utilising its flagship vessels FDS2 and the Saipem Constellation to continue the works. It had initiated limited activities – detailed engineering and procurement.

This project consolidates Saipem’s presence in the country, as Exxon had previously awarded it four other subsea contracts for developments in the same area, including Liza Phase 1 and 2, Payara, and Yellowtail.
