Local suppliers once again have an opportunity to provide a wide range of services to SBM Offshore Guyana, as the company prepares to bring its third oil production vessel online in the South American country.

In its search for these services, SBM Offshore has issued several requests for information (RFIs).

One of the primary requirements is the establishment of a lease agreement for a secure and spacious warehouse near Georgetown. The envisioned facility should encompass at least 2,000 square feet of space and include a designated area for temperature-controlled storage.

The company is also seeking firms to furnish a detailed valuation report for a five-story building situated in Georgetown. This valuation will serve to better understand the open market value of the property.

Efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for refueling a fleet of vehicles are another focal point. SBM Offshore is looking for a service provider that enables the use of charge cards and offers real-time access to relevant data.

Furthermore, SBM Offshore is in the market for firms to deliver and coordinate unarmed security services at the training center located in Port Mourant, Berbice. Additionally, the company is in search of a separate firm to oversee housekeeping duties at the training center. This includes daily cleaning tasks, garbage disposal, sanitary services, and the provision of necessary cleaning supplies.

The company expects to start up oil production at the Prosperity floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) before the end of the year. The vessel joins the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity FPSOs, currently producing more than 380,000 barrels per day. Production from the Prosperity vessel is expected to push daily production to some 600,000 barrels a day in 2024, Stabroek Block operator, ExxonMobil has said.
