Schlumberger Guyana, a subsidiary of the world-class oilfield services company Schlumberger, is in the process of constructing a drilling fluids facility to support the operations of ExxonMobil with regards to the Liza development.
This is according to an advertisement placed in the local press requesting the submission of Expressions of Interest.
The facility is to be located at the Houston Port on the East Bank of Demerara, Guyana. The successful contractor will be expected to perform the renovation of an existing office/canteen building, the build out of the liquid mud plant office and tool room in two standard 40-foot ISO containers. The bid package will be issued on June 20, 2018 and is expected to be awarded on July 4, 2018.
The Houston Port is home to the Guyana Shore Base Inc., a consortium comprising Muneshwers Limited, TOTALTEC Oilfield Services, Pacific Rim and LED Offshore Ltd. Guyana Shore Base Inc. provides onshore logistics services in support of the ExxonMobil exploration and production activities offshore Guyana.
