Jean Paul Prates, President of Petrobras accepted the accolade during a May 5 ceremony. Prates credited Petrobras’ dedicated technical staff for the company’s success.

A pivotal component of Petrobras’ revitalization efforts is the Marlim Revitalization Program, which saw the deployment of two floating production, storage, and offloading units (FPSOs) last year – Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi. Those units replaced nine outdated production platforms. Petrobras said it anticipates adding at least 115,000 barrels per day (b/d) to its output in the forthcoming years through these new installations.

The replacements have resulted in a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, the company said.
