TechnipFMC said it has achieved a milestone with the installation of its first Subsea 2.0® equipment in Guyanese waters.
“A tubing head for the Uaru development was successfully positioned using a Schilling UHD-II remotely operated vehicle (ROV). The first Subsea 2.0® tree for the project is scheduled for installation in the coming months,” the subsea giant detailed in a Dec. 5 LinkedIn post.
Subsea 2.0® is TechnipFMC’s innovative configure-to-order production system. It uses pre-engineered components and optimized manufacturing processes to streamline project timelines.

The Uaru development, the fifth project approved offshore Guyana, is valued at US$12.7 billion and targets more than 800 million barrels of oil. The project will include up to 10 drill centers and 44 wells, with an initial production goal of 250,000 barrels per day by 2026.
To support operations, MODEC is constructing the Errea Wittu FPSO under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract. TechnipFMC’s services base in Georgetown, Guyana, plays a key role in the project’s execution.
TechnipFMC praised its global and local teams for their efforts in advancing the Uaru development.
