ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify suppliers capable of providing and operating Multi-Purpose Support Vessels (MPSVs) for offshore operations.
The company said the enabling agreement would be non-committal and is expected to run through the end of 2026.
According to ExxonMobil Guyana, the vessels must be designed for severe weather conditions and feature high station-keeping capability. Requirements include a minimum DP2 dynamic positioning system, a 250-metric-ton active heave compensated crane with a wire length of at least 2,600 meters, and the ability to deploy rigid and thermoplastic composite pipe jumpers directly from the deck.

The company said the MPSVs must also support subsea tree and tubing head installation or recovery, flying lead and jumper installation, and a range of life-of-field operations such as pod swaps and choke swaps. Deck size of 1,000 square meters or more is preferred to accommodate jumper deployment and Reel Drive System use.
ExxonMobil Guyana added that the vessels should be outfitted with an Ultra-Short Baseline survey system, two 200-horsepower work-class remotely operated vehicles rated to 3,000 meters, and subsea pressure testing capabilities. Other requirements include 360-degree CCTV coverage with 90-day storage, FuelTrax® systems, potable water makers, and internet connectivity through Starlink® and VSAT packages.
Preferred features listed in the RFI include a helideck rated for S92 aircraft, a dedicated ROV control room, a moonpool for ROV deployment, constant tension deck tuggers, and vessels built in 2015 or later. Suppliers may offer bid structures covering the vessel, ROV, and survey services under a single contract or separate agreements.
