Aker BP said it found gas at the Storjo well in production license 261 in the Norwegian Sea.
The discovery, near the Skarv field, encountered several geological formations. The recoverable gas volume is between 25 and 80 million barrels of oil equivalent, according to a preliminary estimate.
Aker BP is the operator of PL 261 with 70% working interest. Wintershall Dea Norge is partner in the licence with 30%.
