Applications open for GTTCI Instructor roles to support offshore oil training

The Government of Guyana is inviting applications for eight Instructor positions at the new Guyana Technical Training College Incorporated (GTTCI), currently under construction in Port Mourant, Berbice. The initiative is being spearheaded through the Office of the President.

Selected applicants will be trained to become full-time instructors at the institution, which is scheduled to open in October 2025. Once qualified, instructors will train students in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Production skills to work aboard floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels in Guyana’s offshore oil sector.

“All applicants must be Guyanese nationals,” the Office of the President stated.

A Technical Diploma is the minimum requirement, and experience in technical training will be considered an asset. Candidates must be willing to undergo offshore training, including Helicopter Underwater Escape Training. They must also be prepared to work full-time in Port Mourant as employees of the GTTCI.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, June 13, 2025, at 13:30 hours (1:30 PM).
