To bolster its position in the Asian market, Blue Water has announced its official acquisition of Zodiac Solutions, paving the way for its expansion into South Korea. This strategic development took place at the Korea – Denmark Offshore Wind Business Conference, where Blue Water signed the agreement to take over the operations of Zodiac Solutions, a leading South Korean logistics company.

Raphael Park, the Managing Director of Zodiac Solutions, is set to become the General Manager of Blue Water South Korea following the acquisition. The signing ceremony saw notable attendees including Lars Aagaard, the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, and Jason Goh, Regional Director Asia at Blue Water. This acquisition is a crucial step in establishing Blue Water South Korea, with the transaction expected to be finalized by May 1.

Thomas Bek, Blue Water’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Energy, Ports & Projects, shared his excitement about the acquisition: “We are delighted to announce this important step in our expansion plans. The acquisition of Zodiac Solutions brings expertise and a valuable network, particularly in the logistics of diverse industries such as Renewables, Mining, Oil, Gas & Industrial projects, General Cargo Sea & Air, Marine logistics and Defense logistics. We have had the pleasure of working with Zodiac Solutions as a local partner for many years.”

Blue Water South Korea offers a broad spectrum of global logistics services, especially in the renewable energy sector. Blue Water’s expansion in Asia is set to continue with the opening of an office in Japan later this year, aiming to solidify its presence in the region and enhance its global reach.

Blue Water operates in Guyana, where it recently scored a hat-trick of contracts from ExxonMobil for a range of services. It also appointed a new General Manager for its Suriname operations in October, signifying its readiness for full operations in that country.
