bpTT completes seismic acquisition for Manakin-Cocuina field

The seismic acquisition for bpTT’s Manakin-Cocuina field has been completed, according to David Campbell, President of bpTT. The data collected is now in the processing stage. Campbell shared this update during a meeting with Stuart Young Trinidad’s Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, at the International Waterfront Complex in Port of Spain.

At the meeting, bpTT also provided updates on its joint venture, deep water projects, and the divestment of mature assets to Perenco. 

Regarding drilling operations, Campbell reported that drilling at the Cypre development is ongoing, with further drilling opportunities being evaluated. This aligns with the government’s push to extract every molecule of oil and gas and bpTT’s goal to accelerate gas production.

Additionally, the company’s renewable energy initiatives are progressing. The 92.2 megawatts solar project, ‘Project Lara,’ is set to be operational by 2025.

Minister Young emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships with energy sector stakeholders like bpTT to ensure a resilient and responsible energy industry.
