Fire breaks out at PEMEX Nohoch-A Link Platform, leaving six injured

Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) has reported a fire incident that occurred July 7 at approximately 5:25 a.m. at the Nohoch-A Link Platform in the Gulf of Mexico, followed by another fire at the Compression Platform. In response, the Emergency Shutdown System was activated, and four vessels were dispatched to control the fire.

At the time of the incident, there were 328 workers present at the Processing Center. As a precautionary measure, 321 workers have been successfully evacuated with the assistance of seven vessels. As of now, six individuals have been reported injured.

An Emergency Response and Management Group in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, is in a continuous session to address the situation promptly, PEMEX said.

PEMEX said it will provide updates regarding the progress in controlling and extinguishing the fire, as well as the assessment of damages incurred.
