MODEC’s local affiliate, MODEC Guyana Inc., is moving to craft its local content compliance strategy in line with legal requirements. The company is setting up shop in Guyana, after being hired to build and deliver the Errea Wittu floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) project for ExxonMobil’s Uaru project.

MODEC is seeking local content consultancy services to provide support to develop a list of deliverables: a local content master plan, an employment sub-plan, a procurement sub-plan, capacity development sub-plan, and its 2024 local content annual plan.

Additionally, MODEC is seeking a service provider of payroll systems and solutions to support its Guyana business in the initial stages of its in-country operations.

MODEC’s requests for information (RFI) are advertised with the Centre for Local Business Development, the Stabroek Block co-venturers’ premier local capacity building project.

The Uaru project is ExxonMobil’s fifth Stabroek Block development, and MODEC has been entrusted with the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPC) of the FPSO. The project is expected to achieve first oil in 2026, and will add 250,000 barrels of oil per day to Guyana’s output.
