Hunting PLC on April 7 said it has been awarded US$63.5 million in orders for its titanium stress joint (“TSJ”) product line for a new offshore development in Guyana.

Hunting noted that “the award will be completed by the Group’s Subsea Spring business unit and will be delivered through to May 2028, with revenue being recognised from H2 2026.”

Hunting said the awards “demonstrate the success of Hunting’s TSJ solution, which is used on Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (‘FPSO’) vessels.” It added that the orders “underline Hunting’s strategic ambition to deliver a range of solutions for FPSO vessels used in offshore developments to capture a larger portion of projected spending on major subsea projects.”

“By leveraging our enlarged product offering, we can better support integrated oil and gas groups and service companies throughout the whole life cycle of a well,” the company stated.

Chief Executive Jim Johnson said, “Our TSJ product line, which is a critical component for offshore developments, continues to be adopted on key offshore projects utilising FPSOs, given the maintenance benefits and reliability offered.”

Hunting did not specify the Guyana development that the contract is for.

The most recent development in Guyana is ExxonMobil’s Hammerhead development, which the Guyana government approved last September. It is set to produce oil at 150,000 barrels per day and gas at 90 million cubic feet per day. Development is underway and start-up is scheduled for 2029.

Hunting PLC previously supplied eight titanium stress joints for the Errea Wittu FPSO, which will be deployed later this year at the Uaru project offshore Guyana. Exxon expects to use Uaru to increase crude oil production capacity in Guyana by 250,000 barrels per day.
