MODEC Guyana is soliciting proposals for the supply, servicing, and calibration of portable gas detectors to support operations on the UARU Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit.
MODEC said it aims to enhance safety and operational risk management for day-to-day activities offshore.
The selected contractor will provide gas detectors, perform regular servicing and calibration, and ensure compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and international standards.

Calibration processes must adhere to ISO EC 17025 standards or manufacturer instructions. Contractors must issue detailed service reports and calibration certificates, ensuring traceability and transparency for all work performed.
The Errea Wittu will be the fifth FPSO deployed offshore Guyana, boosting total oil production to over 1.1 million b/d. ExxonMobil operates the Stabroek Block, where all sanctioned projects, including the Uaru development for which the Errea Wittu FPSO is being constructed, are located.
ExxonMobil holds a 45% stake, with Hess and CNOOC holding 30% and 25%, respectively.
