Petrobras has launched the divestment process for its 25% minority stake in the Tartaruga field, located in shallow waters off Pirambu, Sergipe, in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. The field is operated by SPE Tiêta, a subsidiary of Petrorecôncavo, which holds the remaining 75%.

The teaser phase, now underway, outlines details of the opportunity and criteria for potential buyers. As a non-operated asset, the divestment aligns with Petrobras’ strategy, given the field’s limited synergies with its portfolio and minimal production contribution—averaging 41 barrels of oil and 723 cubic meters of gas per day in 2024.

The divestment will not affect Petrobras’ workforce or regional activities.

The company remains committed to Sergipe, with plans to deploy two FPSOs for the Sergipe Deepwater area and construct a gas pipeline capable of transporting 18 million cubic meters daily.

This move comes as Petrobras pursues broader oil and gas projects, including constructing a new FPSO at the CIMC Raffles shipyard in China.
