SLB has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking a qualified third-party provider to supply manpower and contingent labour services in Guyana, including operators for its mud plant operations.
The global leader in energy technology is “seeking to identify and engage a qualified third-party company to serve as our Manpower and Contingent Labour service provider.” The RFI aims to assess suppliers’ capabilities, experience, and alignment with SLB’s requirements.
Under the scope of services, SLB is requesting manpower across several disciplines. These include “operations (equipment operators, equipment readiness technicians, liquid mud plant operators etc.), maintenance and technical support (maintenance assistance, maintenance technicians, etc.) and general support (labourers, electricians, office support, etc.).”
The company stated that eligible suppliers must agree to SLB’s terms and conditions and demonstrate “adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards”. Firms must also show “demonstrated technical competence and solid experience in the provision of manpower and contingent labour services,” along with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
Local content requirements apply. SLB said suppliers must provide a valid Local Content Certification and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Proof of registration with the Center for Local Business Development, if available, is also requested.
SLB said it is committed to building professional, ethical, and cost-effective supplier partnerships in alignment with its business goals.
SLB established a long-term presence in Guyana in 2017 when it invested US$75 million in an oil services facility base in Houston, Guyana.
